About The Chamber

The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization comprised of a voluntary membership of area businesses, professional people, and interested citizens who have joined together to improve the economic and civic well being of the area.

The Chamber is financed through membership investments, and by the support of our member businesses, professionals, and individuals who generously donate their time and sponsorships for Chamber events and publications. The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber Visitor and Convention Bureau is financed by the city's hotel/motel tax and is staffed by the Visitor Center Manager and dedicated volunteers.

Our members are primarily from central Texas and the Highland Lakes area of the Hill Country, including the cities of Marble Falls, Meadowlakes, Cottonwood Shores, and Horseshoe Bay, as well as communities including Sunrise Beach, Tow, Fairland, Spicewood, and Highland Haven. Because of our proximity to Austin and San Antonio, many member businesses are from these cities as well. Our membership includes everyone from large employers with 50 or more employees to sole proprietorships.

A board of 7 directors and a 12-member advisory board are elected in accordance with our by-laws by the general Chamber membership. An Executive Director is employed by the Board of Directors, and the Executive Director is responsible for leading staff at both the administrative office and the Visitor Bureau in carrying out the day-to-day activities of the organization.

Numerous committees are comprised of volunteers from the general membership. This is where the real work is conducted. Although not required, members are encouraged to become involved in Chamber activities and serve on committees that address key objectives and goals of the organization.
